Frequently Asked Questions
What is T20 Cricket Squares?
T20 Cricket Squares is a digital adaptation of the classic Super Bowl Squares game, designed specifically for T20 cricket matches. A 10x10 grid is created, players claim squares, and winners are determined by the last digit of runs and wickets at key milestones during the match.
How do I create a board?
Click "Create Board" on the home page. You'll enter your name, email, select two teams, set a price per box, and configure payout percentages. Once created, you'll receive a unique board code and shareable link to invite friends.
How do I join a board?
You can join a board in two ways: enter the board code on the home page, or use the direct link shared by the host. You'll be asked to enter your name and email, then you can start claiming squares on the grid.
How are winners determined?
At each milestone, the last digit of the batting team's runs and the bowling team's wickets determine the winning square. The column axis corresponds to the last digit of runs, and the row axis corresponds to the last digit of wickets. The Final is the exception: it uses the last digit of the chasing team's final runs crossed with the last digit of the 1st innings total (runs vs runs, not runs vs wickets). The player who claimed the square at that intersection wins the milestone prize.
What are the milestones?
There are 4 milestone categories with 6 total winners across a match:
- End of Powerplay (6 Overs) — Two winners: one for each team's runs × wickets.
- Mid-Innings (10 Overs) — Two winners: one for each team's runs × wickets.
- End of 1st Innings — One winner: batting-first team's final runs × wickets.
- Final Result — One winner: chasing team's final runs × 1st innings total (both digits are runs).
Can I unclaim a square?
No, once a square is claimed it cannot be unclaimed. Choose your squares carefully! If you need to make a change, ask the board host for help.
What does "Lock Board" do?
When the host locks the board, no more squares can be claimed. The numbers (0-9) are randomly assigned along each axis of the grid. This is when the real excitement begins — you can now see which score digits correspond to your squares.
What is "batting first" selection?
After locking the board, the host selects which team is batting first. This matters for the "End of 1st Innings" milestone, where only the batting-first team's score is used (the other team hasn't batted yet, so their score is 0).
Is this a gambling site?
No. T20 Cricket Squares is a free entertainment platform. While the board allows setting a "price per box" for scorekeeping purposes, the site does not facilitate, process, or manage any real-money transactions or payouts. Any financial arrangements between participants are made entirely outside of the platform.
How much does it cost?
T20 Cricket Squares is completely free to use. There are no fees, no subscriptions, and no ads. The "price per box" setting on the board is purely for display and scorekeeping among your group.
Can I use this for other cricket formats?
The board is designed with T20 milestones in mind (Powerplay at 6 overs, Mid-Innings at 10 overs, etc.), but you could use it for any cricket match. The host manually enters scores at each milestone, so you can adapt it to ODIs or other formats by using the milestone inputs creatively.
How do I report an issue or give feedback?
